PERFORMANCESIRKUS

THEATRE

PerformanceSirkusyhdistys ry (registered association) is a multiartistic professional theatre company founded in 1996. In addition to traditional spoken theatre it is specialized in wordless theatre, touring street theatre, dance theatre, circus theatre, clownery, mimic art and acrobatics, all produced for both adults and children, offering thus a unique kind of physical theatre in Finland. PerformanceSirkus is a multi-skilled expert on theatre, circus theatre and music, and since its inception the company has functioned widely, actively and in a singular way in the field of performing art. PerformanceSirkus has also done long-term work in art and environment education as well as networked and performed in several events abroad. The know-how of PerformanceSirkus is a combination of dramapedagogic expertise and a broad experience on several cultural collaborations spanning several years: the association has e.g. produced dramapedagogic education projects in the period 1997–2009 in collaboration with the Korkeasaari Zoo. The association also produces small-scale artistic productions and performances tailor-made for the customer.
