THEATRE TAKOMO'S MANIFEST:

The stage is a space: a physical space, a state of mind, a shelter for showing, focusing, defining, broadening and deepening what one, i.e. the person on stage, is. By showing and seeing, by looking with our whole body, we strengthen ourselves. When we see a body on stage, a body that is not afraid of itself, it makes us strong, too. When we see on stage a person that is distressed to the point of being at a dead end, it makes us distressed, too. Somebody does things on our behalf, for us.

RESTAURANT/CAFETERIA

During the performances there is a buffet serving coffee, tea, cookies and sweets. No warm meals or alcohol is served. There are several good restaurants near the theatre for spectators to visit before and after performances.

A GHOST STORY

The producer suspects that in the back stage of the theatre there lives one of the late, former inhabitants of the house, because there is always a little bit of rustling to be heard and it feels like one is being observed. The house is nearly a hundred years old. Also the poet Pentti Saarikoski used to live in the house in the 1940s.
